Solid Hardwood Floors
Blackbutt, Spotted Gum, Tallowwood, Ironbark, Brush Box and Jarrah — Sydney’s most common solid hardwood species. Sanded back to bare timber, grain-filled where required, and finished in your chosen product and sheen level.

Colour Change & Staining
Changing the colour of a timber floor is one of the most effective transformations you can make to a room without touching the walls. Going darker is straightforward on most species. Going lighter or whitewashing depends entirely on the timber.
We test the stain on a concealed section before committing to the whole floor. You approve the colour first — we do not proceed without your sign-off.
Maintenance Recoats
If your floor is structurally sound but the finish has worn dull, a maintenance recoat restores protection without a full sand. The floor is screened back lightly and recoated in a compatible product.
Not all floors qualify. We assess adhesion and condition on-site before recommending this path — some floors look like recoat candidates but actually need a full sand.
Heritage & Federation Floors
Sydney’s Federation and Edwardian homes carry Australian hardwood floors that respond differently to modern finishes. Aged Tallowwood and Ironbark often require grain-filling and additional priming steps that newer timber does not need.

Post-Repair Polish
A timber floor repair is only half the job. The repaired section must be sanded and polished together with the surrounding floor so there is no visible line between old boards and new. We always integrate the sanding — never patch-polish in isolation.
